National Disability Insurance Scheme rollout gives Joanne new career horizon
THE introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has provided promise for disability and healthcare students.
After being laid off from Lindeman’s Karadoc Winery, Red Cliffs’ Joanne Spence said studying a Certificate III in individual support at SuniTAFE provided the opportunity to enter a field that held meaning and strong employment prospects.
“I was made redundant from Lindeman’s and had been a blockie all my life. It took some thought to make the change – I wasn’t sure how I would do with the passing of people.”
