NoosaCare to launch boutique aged care facility

NOOSACARE is celebrating the opening of its latest aged care facility, Cedar Lodge, at its Kabara campus in Cooroy.

A gala official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 8, followed by a an open day from 10am on Monday, October 10, where members of the public and residents can view the facility.

Cedar Lodge is comprised of 32 single ensuited rooms over two levels with private balconies or patios, framed by lush rainforest creating an ambience of peace and tranquillity.

This new boutique facility offers quality care covering high care, palliative and respite.

Each room is 18.50sqm and there are also communal lounges and alfresco areas for residents and their visitors to enjoy.

Offering keyless entry, using cutting-edge finger scanning security, residents don't have to worry about keys, and their security is enhanced.

 

NoosaCare's Kabara campus in Cooroy is officially opening its new aged care facility, Cedar Lodge.

NoosaCare chief executive officer Megan D'Elton said the centre couldn't be more impressed with the finished product and they couldn't wait to showcase it to future residents.

"Cedar Lodge is a welcome addition to our Kabara community - Kabara is Aboriginal for 'a place to rest' or 'home', and Cedar Lodge complements the ethos and spirit of Kabara perfectly," she said.

President of the board Otto Adler will cut the ribbon at the official ceremony at 11.15am on Saturday, October 8, along with resident Colin Nadler, who will have his family, including his daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, by his side.

NoosaCare Inc have facilities at Tewantin and Cooroy, and provide low, medium and high care, respite and dementia care. They are a not-for-profit, community-owned organisation, established in 1984.

NoosaCare Kabara is located at 120 Topaz Street, Cooroy.
