GST-free supply of disability supports under the NDIS - Legislation updated
Legislation regarding GST-free supply of disability supports under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has been updated. The Determination commences on 1 July 2017 and applies to supplies made on or after 1 July 2017 which are made on or before 30 June 2021. Providers should note that a support must be listed in a service agreement if it is to be supplied GST-free. This is a requirement under the NDIS Terms of Business and payment assurance purposes. Lengthy inquiry recommends consideration of nursing requirements, publication of staff ratios and efforts to tackle pay in aged care. The Commonwealth should look at introducing minimum nursing requirements for all aged care facilities, a Senate inquiry into the sector’s workforce says.
